What happens when Western techniques travel East?
This paper critically examines how Western acting methodologies are received, adapted, and sometimes misinterpreted in intercultural training. Drawing from my first-hand experience in both Western and Chinese actor training, I explore the gaps, tensions, and new possibilities that arise in cross-cultural contexts.
